Community Blessing Day 2025: A Celebration of Giving and Connection

On August 22, 2025, our front lawn at 430 S. Webster Street came alive with generosity, laughter, and community care during Community Blessing Day — a neighborhood event where folks could “take what you need, for free.”

Led by Roychelle Norris, the event brought together staff, volunteers, and neighbors to rehome gently used items, share new beginnings, and build connection. Over 55 people stopped by, including 22 new intakes — each moment reminding us that care and compassion are the foundation of community.

We’re deeply grateful to everyone who donated items, helped organize, and spent the day blessing others — including Aree Martin, Dr. Renita Robinson, Robin Scott, and our entire We All Rise team.

Together, we proved that when community shows up, everyone leaves with something meaningful — whether it’s a bag of clothes, a kitchen table, or a renewed sense of belonging.
