Sunny walks beside survivors with lived understanding, fierce compassion, and a heart rooted in healing. As a Sexual Assault Advocate at We All Rise, she provides crisis response, court accompaniment, and one-on-one support to those navigating the aftermath of assault. Her own journey as a survivor has shaped her into a deeply intuitive and unwavering presence for others—offering advocacy not as a profession, but as a calling. Sunny’s strength lies in making people feel safe, seen, and never alone on the road to recovery.
Sunny's Story
Sunny LaVigne (she/her) was born in Iron Mountain, MI. She currently is employed with We All Rise as Sexual Assault Advocate. Prior to coming to We All Rise, Sunny worked in the service industry for almost 20 years. Her dedication to service goes beyond food and drink though, as a past victim of assault herself, her heart and soul is rooted in helping and healing. She has turned her trauma into a testimony of overcoming adversity. Sunny's empathy and unconditional love are her greatests traits, her faith in God, her greatest strength; helping others find their way on the path of healing is something that has been in Sunny's heart for as long as she can remember, advocating for victims isn't what she does, it's just who she is. Sunny enjoys cooking, spending time with family, writing, and taking on new and exciting challenges. She has 2 children, Sydnie and Kingston as well as her grandson, Jameson.
