At We All Rise: African American Resource Center, we believe every person deserves to be seen, supported, and empowered to thrive.

Founded in Green Bay, Wisconsin, We All Rise was created to address the unique challenges facing African American individuals, families, and survivors who have historically been underserved by traditional systems of care. What began as a vision for culturally responsive support has grown into a trusted community resource dedicated to healing, advocacy, housing stability, youth development, and collective well-being.

Our work is grounded in the understanding that healing is not just individual—it is communal. We recognize the strength, resilience, and brilliance that already exist within our communities and work alongside those we serve to build pathways toward safety, opportunity, and lasting change.

Through trauma-informed services, survivor-centered advocacy, and culturally specific programming, we strive to create spaces where people feel valued, connected, and supported throughout their journey.

Every service we provide, every partnership we build, and every life we touch reflects our commitment to a future where Black individuals, families, and communities can heal, grow, and flourish.

Because when one of us rises, we all rise.

Why We Exist

IMG_7269.JPG

Communities thrive when individuals and families have access to support, opportunity, and spaces where they feel seen, heard, and valued.

For too long, many African American individuals and families have faced barriers to culturally responsive services, housing stability, mental health support, victim advocacy, and community resources. We All Rise was created to help bridge those gaps by providing services that honor lived experiences, celebrate resilience, and support long-term healing.

We believe meaningful change happens when communities have access to trusted relationships, culturally grounded care, and opportunities to build brighter futures. Every program, partnership, and service we provide is rooted in that belief.

Our work is not simply about responding to challenges—it is about helping individuals, families, and communities reclaim hope, strengthen resilience, and thrive.

Our Mission

We All Rise exists for the collective liberation of African Americans navigating at the margins of society.

We believe healing is a right, not a privilege—and we work every day to disrupt harm, restore dignity, and build a world where Black people are safe, seen, and supported.

Our Vision

A future where African American communities are safe, healthy, empowered, and equipped with the resources and opportunities needed to thrive across generations.

Empowerment

We equip people with knowledge, resources, and support to help them build confidence, create opportunities, and achieve their goals.

Our Approach

At We All Rise, we understand that lasting change requires more than a single service or program. It requires a holistic approach that recognizes the connection between safety, stability, healing, and opportunity.

Our work is guided by three core principles:

Listen First

We honor lived experiences and meet people where they are. Every individual's story matters, and every journey deserves respect.

Lead with Compassion

We create welcoming spaces where people feel supported, understood, and empowered to take their next step forward.

Build for Lasting Change

We work alongside individuals, families, and community partners to address immediate needs while creating pathways toward long-term growth and success.

Our Promise to the Community

❤️  We promise to create spaces where people feel welcomed, heard, and supported.

❤️  We promise to advocate for those whose voices have too often been overlooked.

❤️  We promise to continue building pathways toward healing, opportunity, and hope.

❤️  We promise to honor the resilience, strength, and brilliance that already exist within our communities.

❤️ Most importantly, we promise to walk alongside our community—not in front of it—as we work together toward a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
