Ericka Wade is the Academic Advising Manager at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. She provides inspirational leadership to the academic advising team and also learns from her staff daily! She is also one of the instructors for the GED/HSED program offered on site at We All Rise. Ericka was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI where putting a hand out and “pulling the next one up” was instilled in her by her parents. As one of 7 children, she’s always been a creator and a dreamer. Service to others always has and will be a part of her life. She’s volunteered with organizations such as the Make a Wish Foundation, the Wisconsin Humane Society, Hunger Task Force and African Heritage, Inc. Ericka is a current board member of the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation and is privileged to have a front seat to all of the amazing work being done in our community!

 

In her freetime she is the proud dog mom to her french bulldog, Georgia. Coffee is her favorite part of the day and walks, reading, baking and golfing take up alot of her leisure time. Ericka is the current Wisconsin Chapter President of Diamonds on the Green, a multicultural women’s organization focused on getting women of all backgrounds on the golf course in a fun and non-competitive atmosphere - ask her about it! 

 

In her classes, Ericka focuses on goal setting and motivation to help students earn their diploma! Classes are tailored to each student individually and the flexible format really allows students to work at a pace that is comfortable and maintainable for them!
