I was born in St. Louis MO in the inner city low-income single parent home back and forth from St.  Louis to Shreveport, Louisiana, surrounded by lots of drugs, gangs, and mental health issues. I moved to Green Bay in 1994 and have been a Wisconsin resident since then. I had my first child at 16. I now have 5 children 23, 22, 21,15, and 4. I was in prison for 3 years for selling drugs. After prison got my life together successfully completed probation last year (2020) after being on since 2006. I am currently enrolled in college and on track to graduate in December 2021 with a technical diploma in AODA counseling and an associate's degree in human services. I hold several certificates in trauma-informed care, parenting, and other knowledge bases. I have volunteered at local nonprofits geared towards both AODA and mental health. I have a passion to help people and feel passionate about doing so as I have had to start over many times in my life. I am a survivor of many traumas and am a walking DIY. I also believe folks deserve a second, third, and fourth chance. Everyone deserves a 2nd chance and sometimes that second chance may actually be the 4th or 5th or 6th try.
